Malaria on the comeback.

I was listening to NPR yesterday and they started talking about how drug resistant malaria is making a come back in Cambodia. The US used to have a malarias issue but eliminated maralia in a period of five years. Pretty incredible. Anyway here's the site. http://www.theworld.org/node/25063 2  out of 2 found this valuable. This is a cool site canyoncrawler. I looked on some similar site's and I found one that said that malaria is spreading through out areas of Africa quickly as well. If any one is interested here is the site http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2008-04/asot-wad041108.php. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

That is interesting that malaria is on the rise in Africa as well. I was looking to see if any other countries were having a problems with Malaria and apparently there are quite a few. In some countries Malaria isn't necessarily on the rise but is constantly problematic. I found a site that talks about people concerns about traveling to Southeast Asia (including not only cambodia, but also Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam as well.) A major concern for a lot of people is whether or not they should take malarials before travelling. Basically the article goes through things you should consider before traveling to one of these countries that have problems with Malaria. If you're interested the site is http://www.travelfish.org/feature/95 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

NPR is the best. I have listened to so many things there lately about the powers of microbes. Living in our guts, making us fat, getting us sick and also keeping us alive and healthy. Strange little balancing acts we live in. Do you find this valuable?
